ReadMe

forest_fix is a repack of forest map made by Jelle Van den berg / Maximus (**********@*******.com) for playing it in UT4.1 (it was made for older UT). Please read the readme file from the author (ut_forest.txt)

Description:

Due to "cleaning" of main pak file in ut4.1, old maps like this one were missing textures, sounds, shaders.
I just repack them with the minimums old textures, sounds, shaders to make it ok with UT4.1
This is NOT a remake / reverse compile of the original pack. Just the old pack with more things in it.
The best job will be to recompile the map for ut4.1 But i need the author agreement before.

Notes: This map was very well packaged by the author and 2 things were missing for UT4.1. The skybox and models
(1 shader used for skybox is missing and 3 referred models were missing too.)

Here is what i have done:


-- Textures missing buit not added:
* bbq/rommelsky.tga: only need in the editor so not added (minimum modifications is what i am looking for)

-- Textures added:
* env/rommelxxx: all the 6 pictures of the skyboxes where missing because not included in ut4.1. I moved them to env/ut_forest_fix\rommelxxx to minimise impact of the fix. (making this skybox belonging only to ut_forest_fix). I changed the skybox shader to referre these new path to the 6 pictures of the skybox.

-- sounds added:
none

-- shaders:
bbq/rommelsky: contain in ut41 and ut37 in bbq specifics shaders, added in new ut_forest_fix.shader to fix the skybox.

-- models
The path:
models\models\mapobjects\urbanterror\trees
was referred instead of
models\mapobjects\urbanterror\trees
for the 3 models used: pine1.md3, fir1.md3, fir2.md3.
But anyway these models do not exist in ut41 on this path. So readded with the double models/models .....

-- sky
Was missing because of the shader.. see comment on texture and shaders above.
